FERRY TRIP TO LANZAROTE
If you have visited all the attractions in Corralejo and wish to explore, the neighboring Lanzarote Island can be reached by ferry in just about forty minutes.
In the heart of Lanzarote lies the amazing Fire Mountains ( Montañas del Fuego), which has been a backdrop of numerous science fiction films. During the great eruptions in 1730 to 1736, almost 100 volcanoes arose that made the area look like a spectacular moonscape.
This area in Lanzarote was declared a national park, which was then called Parque Nacional de Timanfaya, in 1968.
The visitors of this national park are guided into this exceptional world by riding in a team of camels.
VULCANIC ISLAND OF LOBOS
Located 6 kilometers away from Corralejo, the Lobos Island is a declared nature reserve. Facing the Corralejo coastline, it is home to valuable indigenous species of flowers.
