Although the local council of Corralejo ensures that the Canarian ambiance is retained while banning the development of high-rise buildings, the town expands by adding leisure attractions that blend in perfectly with Corralejo s scenario. The Baku Water Park is one of the newest additions to the town. Opened only in 2004, it includes rides, a ten-pin bowling, a place for bingo and a golf driving range with 18 holes. It also has an array of restaurants and shops.
