The Natural Monument of Montaña de Tindaya

This natural monument originated from the complex of Betancuria bulk. The mountains of Tindaya have a magical meaning for the long-standing natives of Betancuria. Its peak is where the best podoformes of Fuerteventura can be appreciated.

The Hermitage of San Diego and its convent church

These buildings form a part of the original Franciscan convents of the island of Fuerteventura.

The Cathedral of Santa Maria de Betancuria

This church is among the most important historical buildings in Fuerteventura. It was originally built around the 15 th century with a Norman-gothic architectural style. Due to the destruction led by the pirates, it was remodeled in the 17 th century yet preserved most of its original features such as the bell tower and other sections of the church.
Inside the church are remarkable artifacts such as the choir stand, the baptistery, the baroque pieces and an imposing Mudejar-coffered ceiling.
The church also boasts its own museum known as Museo de Arte Sacro.

Vega Del Río De Palmas

Located south of Betancuria is a dry watercourse, which is wet enough to keep a continuous plantation of palms.

Other places of interest include the Ermita de San Diego de Alcalá (located in Betancuria), Ermita de Santa Ines (situated at Valle de Santa Inés ), Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Peña (located at Vega de Río Palmas ) and Mirrador de Morro Velosa.
