If you wish to explore the historical and quaint villages of the surrounding areas of Tuineje, you may hire a car or taxi for the tour. The best sites to travel around include the Pajara, Antigua and Betancuria.
Betancuria is certainly the most picturesque on the island. Since it was discovered in the 15 th century, it has retained its authentic beauty and charm until today. Worth visiting in this town are the Church of Santa María and the Betancuria Archeological Museum.
