Archaeological Museum in Betancuria
Located north of Tuineje, the Betancuria Museum is located in the old part of Betancuria town, particularly in the House of Traditional Style.
The museum has five parts - the first two rooms are dedicated to archeological artifacts. It includes a display of the culture and artifacts of the Mahos - the pre-Hispanic inhabitants of Fuerteventura
The other two rooms are devoted to paleontological remains, where displays of Fuerteventura s climatic evolution are shown.
The last room includes ethnography materials such as lanterns, bowls, shepherd s bags, mortars, manual mills and a collection of aborigine pottery reproduction.
