In small towns like Tarajalejo, trade fairs are more popular than boutiques. However, the open-air markets and malls are still a part of daily Tarajalejo living.
Below is a list of the trade fairs and shopping events in town:
* Feria Del Libro -- Every year, the Feria del Libro (Book Fair) takes place in Tarajalejo during April.
* Feria Agricola, Ganadera y Pesquera -- This event brings together all the produce of the farmstead in one venue. It is also held in April.
* Feria Insular del Artesania -- Held during September, this event is focused on a large display local crafts and artworks that are put up for sale.
* Feria Insular del Turismo -- Tourism fair also held in September
* Feria del Metal -- Held in November
